The holy grail for chain lubrication is full immersion dip-waxed chains. For most cyclists the effort is daunting. Take off the chain, clean, rinse, immerse into a melted wax, break up the waxed links, and re-install the chain. Whew! It's not hard, just too many steps for most cyclists.
Now, CUBE provides a melt-waxed chain in minutes!
CUBE's special blend of waxes and oils lets you rub it onto the chain quickly and easily. While the natural waxes and oils work into the chain without heat, adding heat to the process liquifies CUBE so it penetrates ideep into the chains links and rollers as it would with an immersion style chain wax.
The mini-heat gun that comes with this package delivers melt-temperatures in seconds, but features a much smaller nozzle (and a protective guard) which makes it very easy to keep the heat directly on the chain.
Certainly you can try to rub some paraffin or other wax onto the chain and apply some heat, but it is not likely to deliver much success.
CUBE was formulated from the start to be a rub-on, and the Soft Block means you quickly get more wax and lubricants into the chain.
With the CUBE HOT MELT SYSTEM, all you need to do is apply CUBE, melt, ride!
Without heat we instruct that the application of the wax only on the inside of the chain, as the pressure from the cassette and crank teeth push the lubricant into the chain.
When using the Hot Melt System, we recommend rubbing CUBE on both the inside and outside of the chain to get full penetration into the chain as it liquifies, with the heat gun melting the wax into the chain from both top and bottom to obtain full penetration into the links and rollers.
If you have previously applied a full immersion base wax to your chain, such as SIMPLYFAST for Bike, the CUBE plus heat reactivates the old wax, while CUBE adds smoothness and lubrication.
Your package ships with a mini-heat gun, and 4 of the 50 gram CUBE wax blocks, which is going to last the average rider a very long time!

Bicycle should be securely supported in a work stand or similar to prevent bike from moving during application. Heat gun produces a small area of high heat, capable of damaging frame / components if mis-used. User is responsible for the operation of the heat element which requires careful use and adult application.
